Ecg Holter

It is the continuous recording of three or more ECG leads for 24 or 48 hours. The recording is achieved by a “Holter” device that the examined individual wears at his belt and is connected with patches to specific positions of the thorax.

It is a harmless exam which allows the examined individual to realize the majority of everyday activities while being under nonstop recording of its cardiac function.

We usually use this examination in order to investigate the etiology of arrhythmias, tachycardia, faint, or dizziness. It can also contribute to the revelation of “silent” cardiac ischemia.

Our cardiology dept. has two hi tech Holter devices SEER – LIGHT and the Holter analysis workstation MARS of GE Medical systems which are of the most reliable systems available.
